They're a smoky-black colour with an understated grey check and a discreet Nike Swoosh on the back right-hand pocket. They're a great fit too, with a flat front and creases down the front and back of each leg.
Naturally you also want a pair that are comfortable, which these are - they have a slight bit of added stretch and are made from Dri-Fit fabric that draws moisture away from the skin. And don't forget the other high quality design additions too, from the two slanted front pockets to the two slash ones at the back (one with button), the 1.5inch/4cm wide waistband, split seams at the hem and the button and zip front fastening.

I chose the former and am very pleased with the result (so much so that I will probably try the later suggestion also).
These Nike check trousers are quietly fun without being Rupert bear fun - perhaps "sedate golf" would describe them best.
